World Premiere at Annecy
The Brazilian animated feature "My Grandfather is a Nihonjin” will have its world premiere at the prestigious Annecy Festival in France! The film was selected for the Annecy Presents showcase, alongside 12 other outstanding international productions.
On October 16, the new feature film from Pinguim Content, “My Grandfather is a Nihonjin,” premiered in theaters across Brazil. This touching and emotional story about family, memories, and bonds between generations has been captivating audiences. The film debuted in more than 250 theaters, across 115 cities throughout the country!

Advance Screening in São Paulo
The official premiere of the film “My Grandfather is a Nihonjin” took place in São Paulo in early October and brought together more than 500 people for an emotional screening! The film follows the story of Noboru, a boy of Japanese descent who begins to investigate his family’s past through conversations with his grandfather.
